How to Install a Mantel on a Stone Fireplace
Mark McCullough travels to Chicago to install a wood mantel on a homeowner’s 1980s contemporary fireplace.

Where to find it?
Mark installed the Red Oak Contemporary Box Mantel Style #5, which was prestained in Early American and finished in a clear finish. It was provided by Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods.

Mark used concrete sleeve anchors to secure the mounting board to the masonry fireplace. These can be purchased at home centers and hardware stores.

How to Wirelessly Connect Multiple Light Switches
Master electrician Heath Eastman helps a homeowner connect four separate switches that control six lights in the same room.

Heath installed the Caseta by Lutron Smart Kit. This included three In-Wall Smart Dimmer Switches to replace the old switches, two Pico Smart Remotes for Dimmers at both entryways to communicate with all the other switches, and a Smart Bridge to connect it all to the Internet.

All the other materials Heath used for this project, including the two gang cover plate and the screwdriver, can be found at home centers.
