Why new builds are the obvious choice when it comes to real estate investing

Over the past four years of my real estate journey, I've come to the conclusion that new constructions are the obvious investment choice. But why does building a new house crush buying an existing home? For me, it comes down to a few things like minimal maintenance, the pride that comes along with creating something new and the instant equity you capture (okay, maybe not instant, but you know what I mean).

Now, while I LOVE building new homes, I totally recognize that it's not always an easy thing to execute. For example, it could take you as much as 12-18 months to complete a new build. On top of that, financing a new construction can require as much as 20% down...which is a lot.

But if you can make building a new home happen, one thing's for sure: You will be damn proud of yourself at the end of the #newconstruction process. I know I always am. And it never gets old.
