On a quest to a self sustainable lifestyle Sean and Jessica must begin developing their off grid permaculture homestead.

In this episode Sean begins building the outdoor shower in the woods while Jessica cleans up the property to make room for a fire pit. We also have plans for future builds like a cob pizza oven, outdoor sink and rain water collection system. So the area she clears will also be the future home to the outdoor Cob kitchen but for now we cooked hotdogs on sticks. Sean discovers the land is rich with good clay perfect for building a cob cottage and our future home. Being as we have only been on our raw land for a few days means we are starting from zero, so we also decide to plant our first organic garden. We have heirloom seeds coming which we will use to plant our food forest but while we are waiting on those, we planted some seeds Jessica has saved from her own garden. Life has certainly gotten more challenging but at the same time more rewarding. Finding a way to filter our drinking water, composting our waste, and doing laundry are a few of the next obstacles to overcome in future episodes. Living an off-grid lifestyle in the wilderness has shown us how much we relied on being plugged into the system but together we brave the forces of nature to learn how to live off the land and rely on each other.
